When you visit, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to what to see in our region. Obviously, the Rouen Cathedral is one of the city's must-see sights. Immortalised in the paintings of Claude Monet, you can admire it at the Musée des Beaux-arts in Rouen. On the history front, you can wander through the streets of the town, soaking up the atmosphere as you take in the Rue du Gros-Horloge, the Parliament of Normandy, half-timbered buildings and other unusual buildings that will make your visit truly memorable.
A little further on, the abbeys of Jumièges and Saint-Wandrille, Montivilliers Abbey or Notre-Dame du Bec-Hellouin Abbey will greet you on the road to Mont-Saint-Michel.
The Café Métropole, close to Rouen SNCF station, is a real curiosity with its Art Deco architecture that you should make time to see.
The local cuisine will tempt you with its raw-milk Camembert, Normandy apple pie, teurgoule and the famous Isigny cream.
